Ordering EEBroadband send router to old address

I am planning to order EE broadband to a house I am buying with an requested activation date of the day we move in.

The house already seems to have a BT Openreach Fibre modem on the wall.

When I order the service, will I be able to specify to deliver the router to my current address before activation?

@Javert No, the EE service and the EE equipment are at the same address, no re-direct off any part.

So this means that I cannot order the service until I have access to the property as it's currently empty, so there would not be anybody there to take delivery of the equipment until we complete the purchase of the house and move in?

Can you specify the specific date when you want the equipment to be delivered or is it just sent in the normal post?

@Javert You can order whenever you want, hope that the empty house has cancelled there service and is free and clear, you can say when you wish it to start, with agreement from EE who check with OR if it is good for them, and the Equipment is dispatched to arrive a few day's before the start date, and assuming that it is all going to plan, EE control the dispatch and you have no say in what they do, either 24 - 48hr RM delivery or by DPD, find another method to tide you over for BB during the period.  You may wish to check what is currently available at the new address before and then no surprises when you get there.

@Javert   if you give customer services a call they should be able to get the router sent to your current address. It is not something you can do online though.

In order to avoid any delays, try and ensure the ONT is left switched on if the present occupiers move out early.
