Hi,
just happened to notice that EE are currently sending out two different smart hub plus models. The 31 and 32 versions?
are there any differences between them - benefits/weaknesses?
not sure why they would be labelled differently if there aren’t any differences.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

It sounds (worringly) if the order is now possibly placed to move us to a FTTC connection if that is what this router is for.
You needn't worry on that score. If a router works on FTTC then it'll certainly work on FTTP as it doesn't need to use its VDSL modem. Both routers will work on FTTP & VDSL & ADSL.
It is not clear which router you are referring to when you say "this (or the) router. Would you specify "31B" or "32B" when you do.

Hi guys,
Just to follow up on @Neil-O post they are pretty much identical, with the one exception that the 32B does not have a grey DSL/broadband port and thus has no internal DSL modem i.e. it's FTTP only.
Cheers

Openreach provided a SH+31B as I was the first recipient of FTTP in my neighbourhood. Then, EE provider the SH+32B on placing my broadband order with them.
Compared to the SH+31B ADSL/FTTP modem, the SH32B FTTP modem runs much, much cooler all the time.

@Unvitedguest : They should be more or less the same except the 31B works on DSL BB & Full Fibre & therefore has a DSL modem while the 32B is for Full Fibre only.
So the internal boards & chips will be diff & the modem may be powered up consuming power even when unused. Thus running hotter.

Your post didn't help me, but your signature did. I was talking to someone from EE and and said that I had been with EE since before Wanadoo, but couldn't recall the previous name ..... Freeserve, thank you.

It wasn't intended to, was it? You never stated your issue.

Oh dear, not sure if that is a serious reply or not!
Did you read beyond my 1st 5 words? I was thanking you, but seems a bit of humour was lost.
