I’ve been with ee for years , then went to bt which wasn’t a smart move and within a month back to ee but my question is I’ve still got the old black smart hub but they have sent me a new white smart hub .what is or any difference between them ?(.can’t handle another month with no internet with 3 kids if I send the old one back 🤣)

It depends on which BB you have. Which EE BB have you bought?

In a few ways the black Smart Hub is preferable as long as it's compatible with your BB. Principally you can separate the WiFi bands/SSIDs, which you can't do with the white Smart Router.

All I know is I’ve had the black box just over 4 years . Connects to the phone line and we are still  on  copper wire none of this fast fibre internet

Your BB package should have a name like Fibre, Fibre Plus, Fibre Max or Full Fibre (Max). Look in your MyEE for BB at View plan .Only Fibre Max needs the white Smart Router; t'others can use either.
