Yesterday I upgraded my fibre broadband from 500mb to 900mb. Since doing so I now have a EE public WiFi hotspot that anyone can use. My next door neighbour is now piggy backing off my router. It’s ridiculous. When I was on the 500mb speed there was an option in Hub Manager to turn off this public hotspot and I did it. But now im on 900mb speeds there is no option to turn off the public hotspot.
I’ve spoken to 4 different EE staff on the phone and no one knows how to turn it off. I’ve even been told no on can connect to it, which is absolutely not true because my neighbour just told me he’s connected, this also means anyone can connect to MY hub. I don’t want this. I want my internet to be for my household only.
can anyone out there help? I’ve hit a brick wall with this

Ok great. I’ll give it a go. I had already opted out but it did nothing, but looking further into it, I need to leave it a few days after opting out. It would be really useful if EE a) let people know if they don’t want public WiFi hotspots on their routers this is how to turn it off b) also letting people know opting out will take a few days to to effect
