Plusnet Router on EE

I am switching from Plusnet to EE.

I have the Plusnet Router setup exactly as I want it with devices being allocated fixed IP addresses and port forwarding all set up.

Is it possible to use the Plusnet Router with EE?

@Old_Guy Then take a look at the Third Party router link below. Pretty sure the PN version allows the required change via it's web manager so take a look see, but do not mess up your current unless you know how to fix!

@Old_Guy The first question would be are you getting to keep the Plusnet router and they do not want it back, what actual router do you have from Plusnet.... Do you have or need to maintain a Landline phone?

Thanks for getting back to me.

No they don't want it back.

No I don't have/need a landline

Its a Plusnet Hub 2

Again - thanks

@Old_Guy And to answer as a second point, fixed IP is ok on the EE router's no issues doing that, as to how good the UPnP or the port forwarding is can work but can also just be stupid to get it all fine tunned as you require. The mobile EE App is needed to do certain parts off router management so that is completely in the lap off the gods.

@Old_Guy  If you need more info, there are instructions on the PN forum about changing username, you need to disconnect the DSL/ONT line when doing the change.

@Old_Guy As a final. EE will only support the range off routers that they have, you are not far away with the PN one as it is really close to the BT Smarthub2 version, but do take a little time if you get an EE one, just a quick setup on it, once you got it online you can put it back in it's box as an need for emergency case.

What is the name of the EE BB plan are you going on including its speed? Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, are you getting (read label or post a pix)?

It is probable that the EE router you'll get is WiFi6. Your PN router will be only WiFi5.

It's the Smart Hub Plus I will be getting.

But I would turn it's WiFi off as I have a mesh network with 6 TP-Link Deco units around the house all connected via network cables.
