Paying two lots of broadband at the same time for 12 months

Good evening,

I have been trying to tidy up my direct debits and found out that I am still paying for my old broadband on EE along with my existing broadband on BT together?

I have contacted EE and they will now cancel the EE broadband account from mid January. The EE broadband payment continued to be paid with my BT broadband since December 21st 2021..

I have paid an additional £452.16 for a service that should have been cut off when I started with BT.. I would like to find out how I can be reimbursed for the 12 months money that has been paid to EE for broadband that i didnt use..

Kind regards

What type of Broadband did you have with EE? And what do you now have with BT?

Depending on the answer you may be able to claim back from EE.

However no one has account access on here so you would need to give the Broadband Care team a call to get it sorted.

@Paul_69 : If you switched like-for-like BB, e.g. Fibre to Fibre, with both, your EE BB should have auto cancelled when you started with BT. However if you switch to or from Full Fibre (FTTP) the onus on cancelling your EE BB contract was on you.
