Pay Per Call £2 per month -

Can someone explain if this  monthly charge £2  titled 'PAY PER CAL'  for my DIGITAL HOME PHONE  is mandatory?  I  don't remember it being mentioned when I transferred to EE from Plusnet.   I hardly make any outgoing calls and just need a non-mobile phone  (ie. previously a landline)   for emergency purposes.   So is it necessary to have this monthly charge?

@HUMBUG75   are you sure it is £2?

The add onn needed to make calls on your Digital Voice is called Pay per Call, although you can pay more and not pay for the calls. The table blow shows current options. So yes you can remove it, but then you can't make calls.

If you removed the associated monthly charge, this would also get rid of your Digital Home Phone line entirely.

As pointed out by @Mustrum, if you're getting this for £2 it is a really good deal compared to usual pricing.

Many thanks for this.

Many thanks Matt

I forgot to add that it is definitely £2  and it says :

Pay Per Call: £2.00/month
Each call costs the same, whether it's to a landline or mobile day or nigh
