PPPOE Ont Credentials Not Working

I recently had EE Full Fibre installed (1.6Gbps) and wanted to use my own router connected directly to the Openreach ONT. I beleive this is done over PPPOE however when I use the bthomehub@btbroadband.com and the BT as a password I cant get it to connect at all. Tried with two routers so far and nothing.

Logged on to my EE hub to find out the password and its not displayed for security reasons!"

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it would. That bypasses the PPPoE creds check from the ASUS, as they are done on the EE router.

Just an update for this one,

EE sent out a Wifi 7 Hub. Plugged in and it did not authenticate.

Openreach engineer arrived and replaced the ONT and rebuilt the package at thier end and bingo.. all up and running.

Turns out a poor install of the ONT originally and building the package at Openreach was the problem!
