Thought I would ask a question, not sure if possible.

So I have signed up with EE for the 1.6gbps and Smart Hub Pro Wifi 7.

Initially due to install this week, but got a new date of 27th June. Wifi is weak, so the fact Im getting a Smart Wifi Pro device is fantastic and was hoping there was a way I can connect the Smart Hub Pro to the Sky FTTP or Sky Router and utilise the Wifi 7 and Smart Wifi Pro while I wait for the Engineer to come out and change my ONT?

Try a speedtest, preferably wired using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

If that's on wireless the it's probably about as good as it's going to get.

its on the EE app, which I believe tests both the direct connection to the Hub and then also the connection to the device.

The App is stating Speed to Hub 830mbps and its highlighting this is below minimum speed of 1.3gbps.

Should it matter whether Im connected via Ethernet to the hub or not if using the app speed test to the hub?

@RobBark8 Did you get the high speed ONT swap out and hub is linking at the 2.5Gb/s speed, Router stat's should show you what you have been set for if you look at those, web to the Router http://192.168.1.254 and take a look see.

yeah they swapped out the ONT and it shows:

WAN link speed: 2.44 Gbps

Just maybe needs to settle into play for a few days?

@RobBark8 No need for settling you are on Fibre so should be instant, www.fast.com if the stupid app program is not working correct. Same two speed hit, first will display speed to the Router via the ONT and cable, wait minute or so, hit update then you will get speed to the device bottom off the page, upload will show you double just ignore the stupid result on it!

830mbps on fast.com
825mbps on speedtest.net
730mbps on ThinkBroadband speed test

😕

@RobBark8 Post a mobile capture up on fast.com

Spoke to EE Tech... they said they have identified an issue:

The issue is with the line speed which is less than it should be and its due to the noise margin on the line which is affecting the speed. Openreach will refresh the line and that should reduce the noise.

@RobBark8 You are on a Fibre Optical digital Line! EE smoke screened you!
