Honest opinion. Do not touch anything made by Norton it is terrible. Just use Windows built in security and common sense. Notyon will eat system resources and be a nightmare to remove plus its virus protection is not that good

@JimM11  yeah i get the trepidation (word of the day) with windows defender. I think the biggest part is use common sense. One of my mates called me over not long back cause they had a pop up saying "you have a virus click here to download fix" (he clicked the link). I must of spent an hour laughing before i got to format his hard drive and re install windows

@cliffy37 Biggest fear, i honestly would never be able to get any of my pc's back to how they are if had to do fresh install, high speed backups down to about 3 mins now, and back up to that point would be about 10 mins. It's as you say what works best...

@JimM11  is that OS due to installed apps or a seperate drive with data on it? I use a great piece of software called SyncBackFree. My first backup was 8 hours long as it was backing up 7Tb over to external drive, after that it takes seconds every night as only backs up changes, it basically creates a mirror of you data drive. For my OS i just create a image of my OS and installed apps and install that hwne i need to. May not be of any help to you art all but interesting none the less
