No caller id on homephone extension

Hi, since going onto the new digital home phone (which goes into the back of the router) my extension upstairs doesn't show any caller id which isn't very good as we get lots of scam calls. The phone downstairs which is plugged into the back of the router does still show who's calling. Oh I have also forgotten to mention that the extension upstairs is plugged into a EE adapter. Is there anyway around this and getting the id back?

I’ve just had another search and found this 2 year old thread on the BT community Caller-ID-not-working-with-Digital-Voice-Adapter . Looks like it does work but no official confirmation.

I thought it might of been my phones that might of been the problem, they are BT Graphite 1100 ones so I might have to buy some new phones.

@csyrad  Sorry I’ve just realised that I left “not” out of my last post it should have been “Looks like it does NOT work but no official confirmation.

Before you buy new phones I would see if you could borrow a different newer phone and try that first.
