I have DV with one Alexa DV phone, and four legacy DECT phones whose base station goes through a Digital Adapter.
So nothing plugged into the router.
Today I had a call, missed it (my fault), picked it up on 1571 on one of the DECT extension phones, listened, called the caller back - by dialling, not ringback, spoke, hung up, all good.
A few minutes later, all the phones rang again, I picked it up on the DECT base station phone, nobody there, and the Caller Id was our own number.
This is the third time this has happened; I’m not sure of the exact details of the earlier examples, but they were both after using 1571.
Anything known?

@Midnight_Voice Don't think or remember any such condition ever reported, and in as precise detail as you have supplied, probably oops on the voip side giving you a call back, did you per chance once listened to the voicemail clear it out just some ideas thrown out...

Yes, I did clear the voicemail once I’d listened to it, but it shouldn’t have rung me over that.
The other issue I’ve been having, and which I got this morning, is that I got an incoming call, picked up one of the DECT extension phones to answer it (and it isn’t set to answer when taken off its charging station, so it was still ringing in my hand), pressed the Answer button, and lost the call.
My router was power cycled yesterday afternoon, for an unrelated issue, so it’s not like cruft had built up in that…
I suspect both these problems are because DV can’t quite deal with my legacy DECT phones, a pair of Panasonic KX-TGK222EW two-phone sets. It shouldn’t care what they are though, should it?

@Midnight_Voice Correct, they are at the end of the day although digital, still connected to the analogue side of things, but you just never know as the DVA is digital, and maybe when you pick up the phone the Panasonic dect side is messing with the DVA, next time try to shield your phone away from the DVA body in between see if it helps kill the dect a little if you have to press to connect the call. Not sure what router you have, but impending update for the EE Smarthub+ is out in the wild just now that EE are sending updates again.

I have the BT SH2, carried over to EE when I switched broadband from BT to EE, and not thought by EE as necessary to replace.
If the update to the EE Smarthub+ is to improve the DV, possibly among other things, maybe I should ask for a swap.

@Midnight_Voice Would be careful what you wish for, as far as i can see the BT Smarthub2 is a pretty rock solid router, where the DV on the current EE is POSSIBLY problematic, forum only ever see's the worst know what i mean. Was the main reason that i never took DV when moving from Sky to EE in march, but did try to get to BT, and was pushed along the EE route, hold on quick look on the forum, DV is a dog, drop it just now can go get later. Later is now some time 9 months on and still do not feel comfortable to committing DV over the EE, but it is looking like the EE Smarthub+ is the only main issue.

Well, I moved from BT to EE with fear and trepidation - the BT Community is an oasis of calm compared to here - but it’s been OK, everything has worked.
The only problem has been the DV, but that was a problem initially when I was on BT, when the DECT phones kept insisting they were engaged, when they weren’t, which is why BT sent me the DV phone, which has been faultless.
Do you know, I think I will go and power cycle the DV Adapter the DECT Phones are on (wiring to the router isn’t an option here), see if that improves things…,

@Midnight_Voice There was a mention of a possible dect and i think again it was Panasonic, and EE did the same and sent Advanced Phones to try, but the fault came back so the Dect Panasonic was kind of ruled out, even BT Smarthub2's being sent to swap out EE routers to test were the issue's are, but all looking like EE Router FW the whole problem, cannot say for sure as service not subscribed to by myself. Have and Know most of the Smarthub+ quirks and there are plenty off them, but nothing that cannot be worked around to keep a stable ISP BB system up and running.

I've had that happen once and I think it was after accessing voicemail. I'm fairly sure that I've never used 1571 as I just look at the recent calls list. It seems to be another little quirk that has only happened since moving to EE, BT DV was faultless for me.

Looking at the recent calls list can tell you who called.
1571 (if they left a message) can tell you what they said.
