No DynDNS and told we get a like for like service with a switch

Hi there.

After now 17 calls, over 24 hours on the phone with EE, switching from BT to EE broadband I was told the EE service will be a like for like with BT.  I asked if i can use my wifi extenders with the new EE hub, was told yes, then sold the hybrid connect as part of the deal and later found out that I was lied to.

I have raised now 3 complaints and getting to the point where EE service is not fit for purpose.

My question and issue is has anyone been able to get DynDNS working with the new EE Smart hub pro+ or whatever the new hardware is called?

Dyndns workts fine with the BT hardware and annoyed with EE that I was told that everything would work as it should.  Total nightmare issue with EE

Well, it might be a big deal if you've paid for 5 years and have 3.5 years left to run. I guess I'll be installing the DynUpdater.

That said, not being able to back up your config as you can with the BT Hub is another ballache.

Also, I have to admit that getting a "Welcome to Virgin Media" page on my new EE hub was a bit of a surprise when connected via LAN.

@Freakstone If you had and still have a BT Smarthub2 then you can also just put that back on the connection and carry on as before, it all still works on a EE network!
