Hello everyone!
I have a 'new' EE broadband plan about to start on 20th January. Same price, same speed, same connection, nothing really changes. However, as I was on an 'old' EE broadband plan, I'm getting migrated to the 'new' EE broadband system. Having a full-on cancellation of the old one, and having a new one with direct debit established. (the whole spiel)
Now, I got also a new router today in prep for this (The Smart Hub Plus) and I was wondering if I could technically already set this one up and it will work on the older plan until the new one comes into effect next week. Is that possible?
I tried to look for an answer but it seems like no one posted about this here before.
Kind regards,
Rukazi

@RukaziSintakumo yes you can as this is exactly what I did. on your live date, though you might find it switch off and switch back on.

Also another point in case you get confused: going forward your Broadband (router settings and billing) should all be managed in the main EE App, and no longer in the older EE Home app.

Thank you both for your answers!
I can confirm that the new router worked immediately after plugging it in! Simple plug’n’play! 🙂
And thanks @Matt_124 ! I’ve always managed the router through the admin portal directly rather than the app but that’s good to know! 🙂

Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed?
The SH+ router, is it the SH31B or the SH32B model. If you have FTTC the SH32B won't work on it.
