New Smart Hub

Plugged in new hub - step 1 of 3, according to the screen. Hit arrow which shows me how to plug in the power cable (!)  and returns to same screen. Repeated several times, but haven'tmissed anything so far.  Connected broadband and ethernet cables and hit Go again, with identical results. No Help available - less than helpful - so will return to original hub and try again when someone can explain why I'm trapped in a loop. This should have been EASY. Why isn't it?
