This morning there is new Pro router firmware r3.8.24-R-1531355-PROD-1 and it starts by saying use HTTPS which is then says is not available. It then requires the admin password to get into any level of access. Now testing out what it does.
It allows you to set your own DNS servers in DHCP.
It still does not let you lock the 2.4G WiFi to a channel, it keeps reverting to Channel 11

The backhaul issue to extenders seems fixed as they all run at 2.5G now.
The 2.4 WiFi Channel always changing to 11 whatever the setting is a major issue as many IoT devices will not work correctly on Channel 11.
The stuttering/buffering appears to be resolved.
The time for hub management pages (192.168.1.254) to load on web access is much slower.

After further testing the hub Pro will support over 90 IoT WiFi devices but only when it is working on Channel 1. Unfortunately it will not stay on Channel 1 and just hops to whatever channel it wants whatever the setting. The extenders just follow the hub but otherwise seem to be working fine.

@tnj The web manager has never been the fastest tool in the box, and as the log fills and get's larger the slower the web manager get's, to a point when you get up to sixty day's with no re-boots then 10 seconds to load a page, has been that way on the Plus since it's roll off the shelf with all the other quirks if you so wish to call them that! The https connection will also not be helping much for the speed to the Router web manager also!

Same here! Hopefully it’ll update overnight…

Is the roaming improved? Was getting fed up of having to switch WiFi on and off every time I moved to a different extender….

As of the update, none of the Apple devices in the home will connect to the guest Wi-Fi but will connect fine to the main wi-fi. Non Apple devices connect fine.
Anyone got any ideas?

I reported the fixed channel bug to EE last year and there attitude and appetite to understand such a basic bug report was shocking (and still is)

With the channel bug I can get everything working on Channel 1 or 6 including all the extenders, I connect my Samsung phone to WiFi and the channel on the hub instantly jumps to 11 followed shortly after by the extenders.
