Moved to EE broadband from Sky

Hello. I was offered a great broadband deal with EE and the advisor said they'd handle everything. I have sky TV and broadband. I'm keeping sky TV but switching to EE broadband.

I was told EE would cover any early termination fees for the sky broadband. However, I've just received an email from EE saying I have to send them my final sky bill and they'll then apply a credit to my EE account?

But the terms say there's no cash alternative? So technically EE aren't buying off my sky. I'm expected to buy myself out of sky and then get EE credits for the cost? Seems a bit mental to me. I don't want EE credits and I certainly cannot afford to pay Sky hundreds of £s.

This absolutely was not discussed with me on the phone and now I'm tempted to call off the whole thing.

Anyone else went through this process?

Thanks

Sorry you're going through it. By EEs logic they'll only credit your bill with the amount you've paid to buy yourself out of your Sky Contract.

So ultimately you'll pay your own termination fee with Sky and then you'll be credited to your new EE account to the same amount. Meaning you won't pay bills for a while.

I ended up making multiple complaints and the call was listened to and viewer and I was totally missold the deal so I ended up cancelling.

They admitted I shouldn't have been told what I had and after speaking to 6 people I eventually spoke to a competent lady who listened to the call then and there and was gobsmacked.  The agent who missold me will be spoken to but I was able to cancel.

Total faff.
