Just renewed tv and broadband package so received new router. All good on the TV phones and Samsung tablet however my Lenovo laptop can't connect to wifi6 and my Lenovo tablet sees the connection but will not connect.
Old router everything was perfect! Friday I spent 12hours with ee via chat to no avail or solution. Sorry we did get my laptop connected but then everything else wouldn't.
On top of this we have just had solar panels installed and they are connected to the WiFi to control/monitor so don't want to do anything to mess this up.

So laptop now connected to wifi6, how? Simple £12 wifi6 dongle from amazon. Plug into usb, auto installs driver and select ee broadband which now appears in the list.
Why nobody at ee could make this suggestion is beyond me, rather than 14 odd hours via chat and booking an engineer to come out to check the connection.

Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router & WiFi extenders do you have (read label or post a pix)?

Speed 40mb, can't do a speed test however as there's always a fault apparently with the app!

How old are these Lenovo devices? I think you'll find the router is set to Wireless Mode = WiFi6 and Security Type = WPA3 by default. Your device mayn't cope with that. Change the router settings down to WiFi5 and/or WPA2.

Yes but doing that will it mess all the other connections up that are working correctly?
Friday we got my laptop connected then nothing else worked anymore. I can't risk losing connection to the solar panel controls nor having to go through another 12 stint with EE helpline.

Login to your EE Smart Hub/Router at http://192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the bottom of the slider label on the back of the router. Then on the Advanced > Advanced Wireless page you should be able to see your WiFi Settings & change them.

Done that and about to save and states you will lose connections to your other wifi connected devices. Given I have 6 connected and 2 not think I'll wait for the engineer to come round.
