I was having trouble with my internet so rang EE about it . The number I rang was 07953966150 . I cant remember if it said " call us for free on.... " . I was speaking to them for 17 minutes .  I then found out a few days later that my mobile phone provider O2 had charged me almos £10 for the call . Is 07953966150 a free call number or not . Thanks .

Who's your PAYG that you're enquiring about with, EE or O2? If EE, why weren't you calling from it rather than O2? You would have been charged 25p for a call from PAYG to EE CS.

£10 seems a lot for a call unless it's long. Don't you have a call allowance with O2?

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Hi  XraySpex (didnt they do a song called Warrior in Woolworths " ?) . Im on PAYG on O2 and the helpline number I got from the EE app . My broadband is with EE my mobile contract is with O2 . The call was at 10.45 in the morning on Saturday .

@williamsays : So, is it about your EE Home BB you are trying to call EE about? What is the problem with it?

So this is not an enquiry about EE PAYG at all. O2 would have been charging their normal rates for a call to an ordinary mobile no.

I thought that if EE are inviting people with a problem with EEs internet to call them then the call would  be a free call .

@williamsays : No, it is your own network, O2, that will determine how much to charge to call a no. EE can't possibly influence that charge. As you can see it's just an ordinary mobile no. for which you will be charged by O2 unless you have some allowance covering calls.

What issues are you having with your Home BB?

If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult Check service in your area  to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area. You may also Report a Problem there.

You can text HELP to 66033 to get EE to test the line & see what needs doing.

Which EE router & WiFi extenders, if any, do you have (read label or post a pix)? What is the name of the EE BB plan are you on including its speed?

My EE broadband is ok now I think . They cut me off for non payment by direct debit . I had payed them , the money left my account . The fault was EEs . After about three hours on the phone I think its sorted . One of the calls I made to them was on the above number which is on EEs help section . I just assumed as it was on EEs help section it would be free . Seems it wasnt and I paid £10 for a 17 minute call to them .
