Hi. Is there anything I can do to ensure I have interim broadband during the days I'm waiting for it to activate in my new home? It's impossible to get through on the phone to ask! Thanks.

There IS a god! I made a final attempt at calling and the loveliest chap answered in a minute! They're sending out a temporary router/hub today which will get to me here to take to my new address! He also sent me a link for callback within 15 minutes! What a RELIEF!!!!!

Get EE to lend you a mobile router or buy 1 yourself which may also useful in future as fall back in case BB goes down.

@369 If you have a good mobile signal, and data is not restricted on the mobile, then tether that may get you some usage depending on what you need to do.

How do I organise a mobile router with EE. I can never get through on the phone to ask without waiting at least 45 minutes. Is there a simple one I can buy quickly somewhere?

I don't have an EE mobile phone. Does that matter?

@369 No turn on mobile hotspot or tether by cable for a single device. This may help give you the idea, but many others also available.

If you want to stick by EE for mobile BB then goto one off the shops if one nearby you.

You could buy 1 in a shop. It doesn't have to be an EE 1. E.g. Amazon.co.uk: Mobile Wifi Router  . You would need a SIM for it; could be PAYG.

Hi. Sorry, I'm not understanding much of this at 74 and a complete technophobe. If I could talk to someone at EE it would be so much easier. I had some sort of back-up hub when I moved before. Is this the same idea. The guy brought it and set it up when he came to ensure everything was okay for the transfer. I'm pretty sure I had no pause while waiting, but having no broadband for five days which also runs my tv is not a happy thought. With relocating on Friday, there's not much time to do anything, but I'd prefer to keep my mobile phone separate. I am a priority customer, but just can't get through to see what EE can do. I don't even get alerts from here to let me know there are replies. Sigh!

@369 As EE CS is open now 8am onwards, if you have a landline phone currently then that would be your way to contact EE and see what they possibly can do for you, there is really no other way in such a short time now, just dial 150 from your landline. Forget about the Tether/Hotspot you may not have data issues or mobile signal issues, and you may be lucky if there is a TV arial point in your new home, that may get some TV working for you short term.

No landline. I've tried every day to call them and can't afford to lose that amount of packing time whilst getting stressed with the whole trying to contact them. This affects my disability. There is no chat system either. It's pretty poor, really. Oh well, I'll just have to hope the connection goes ahead when they say it will, but I see how hard you've been trying to help me and am grateful.
