How to send a link to invite a guest to use my Wifi

Thelms1

I have a new Smart hub router, so the way in which visitors could potentially use my Wifi has changed.   I had to install the EE app into my phone (ok), then set up a guest name for WiFi, and a guest password (ok).   But I gather that I need to 'invite' a guest for them to use my wifi, however the EE instructions as to how to do this are totally invalid.     Example:  According to EE  I access via the app, go to 'Manage' then 'Broadband' and supposedly under Guest Wifi there is an option to share by QR code or by sharing the password - BUT this is not visible on my phone.... neither of the options appear!    Any ideas please?

Just send them an email or text giving the pwd or just tell them. Or, as I do, get them to hand you their mobile & key it in yourself.

This is no doubt the quickest route but if you do want to access the sharing feature in the app, it's here: -

With the Pro hub, there's also a little-known NFC feature that allows you to automatically connect an Android phone by holding it next to the little logo on the base of the hub (doesn't work for Apple devices though).

Hi

Thanks v much for the info.  However when I have my friend the guest login, the connection didn't work, so I thought that maybe this convoluted way of 'inviting a guest' was compulsory!   Will try again with the next visitor!

@Thelms1 Do you only have the main EE Hub in operation and not using any off the EE Smart Wireless devices also.

Guest connection should have shown up for the user.
