Hey there @Lally77.
Welcome to the EE Community 😊
So we can best advise you with this one, could you please let me know a bit more about your current setup?
How do you currently get WiFi to the office, and does this have a phone connection at present?
Also is your phone service running on our digital home phone service, or is it still on an analogue connection?

Where is the Alcatel F860's base station plugged in? How far from there to office in the garden?

Thanks @Lally77, Alcatel recommend an indoor range of up to 50m, but this can depend on construction and in general older houses tend to have thicker walls.
Is your office totally external to the rest of the house with its own wiring, or is it still linked to the main house?
You've mentioned a home phone adapter too, am I correct in thinking this is one you plug into a power outlet with its own phone port on the bottom?

I presume you mean it is plugged into a adapter in that small room. The reach from the base station to a handset in that garden office is purely down to the Alcatel's DECT capabilities & does not involve the BB system or the Smart WiFI extenders at all. To improve that reach would require the base station & its adapter to be moved closer to the garden office.

@Lally77 you say your existing phones did not work well, But did they work, and how ere they wired up?
If one of them works by plugging into the phone socket on the back of the router, you could use the house wiring to the office - it would likely need a bit of rewiring, but nothing complicated - and easily done either following a internet video,, or sometimes ex telecom engineers advertise in local papers.
