We have just transferred over to fibre broadband but now the printer does not connect to the WiFi. It's a HP OfficeJet Pro 8620. It's a brilliant machine that has worked well for me so I am very reluctant to buy a new one if I can get this to work.
I have tried the following:-
- usual WiFI network set up wizard on the printer itself - it sees the wifi router but won't connect
- hardwiring computer to printer and using HP Smart App to change the log in details
- using an ethernet cable from extender to printer but printer had a conniption about that
- HP Smart App on my phone
- switching off 6ghz and 6 ghz to see if it picks it up on the 2.4ghz
I have lost count of the number of times I have entered the password.
Any thoughts on what else I can try?
As a last resort, how can I find out if the printer is compatible with the latest fibre routers or not?

@Charles82 2.5Ghz is the same regardless of what router you have.
A wired connection should work
Here’s the manual for that printer if you don’t have it >HERE <.
Via the app you need to make sure your device is also connected to 2.4Ghz

@Charles82 Have you used WPS on the printer and the app at the same time?
It worked for me after the manual approach did not work.
