Hi
We needed to upgrade our old BT hub and have ended up with a new EE one which will not connect with our heat app hub which controls our electric radiators and previously worked fine. The heating people say Port Forwarding is required and have given me an IP Address and a Port Range (single number) which i have put into the EE hub manager but with no success. I have rung EE tech help twice but have not spoken to anyone who can help me other than sending some port forwarding guidelines that are not terribly helpful. Apparently other electric customers have resolved this problem?
Thanks

If your previous BT Hub was NOT the SmartHub 2 then it's possible that the fact that the newer hubs don't allow the names of the 2.4 & 5Ghz channels to be changed from identical names which can cause connection issues.
The solution some have found to work is to disable the 5Ghz wifi channel and then connect the device in question and then turn the 5Ghz band on.
