On Friday, I received a delivery of someone else's EE broadband Smart Hub. I couldn't not accept it as the courier just left it on my doorstep.
I don't know who it belongs to as the name and address are only half printed on the label. Evri say that because it's marked as delivered it's no longer their problem. How can I get this returned to EE?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Call EE CS on the Freephone no.(Opt 1) in my sig. & explain the situation.

@indy93 Your sure it's not one for you with any potential landline switchover that is happening just now, barcode info if it is all full may be able to help also.

I don't have EE broadband nor a landline so couldn't be.

@indy93 Got it, hopefully no one has oop'd the connection and EE are taking over your home broadband, stranger things have happened.

Checked with my current provider just in case (answered immediately, was on hold to EE for 20 minutes before giving up) and that's exactly what's happened. They received a request to cancel so asked them to cancel and they're going to call me back.
What a mess....

@indy93 Good luck with that, as EE is the gaining provider they have full control over the request, just hope that YOUR ISP can block and refuse the takeover. EE may not even talk to you as you are not even a customer with them.... One off the wonders for OTS (One Touch Switching) takeovers when input address is all wrong.
