My new g.fast broadband is meant to be connected this morning but I have not yet received my EE router. So, I have no id or password for broadband. How can I get my internet up an running without the relevant information?? I have my own router and modem but need the account info to logon.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I have had a look and the anchor point is on the eaves above a first floor window. OR engineers have used ladders there before so I don't foresee any issues with replacing the copper with fibre. Each house has its own copper line from the pole, which is about 15m from our house.
My main concern just now is that EE have re-ordered the Fibre 500 service (on January 31) but they have not been in touch in 3 days to ask when we would like BT to install. Does this mean they have not been in touch with BT to arrange this? I hope this does not mean more unnecessary delays.

@stevedr I would have expected a date by now, it would be worth a call to the Broadband Care Team for an update.

@Mustrum it seems BT has some special tag on our landline - not sure why - and the automatic system would not allow the closing of the line. Someone from EE is supposed to be getting back to us by wednesday - by then it should be sorted. After that, I suppose they'll still have to re-order the upgrade again (3rd time) and give us a date for the installation 🙄
So, it doesn't look like there is any physical obstacle to the work, just some administrative glitch between EE and BT. Shame they couldn't have foreseen that - and not sure why EE were able to book us a home visit slot before BT had accepted the order.
Awaiting next wednesday, but we're not holding our breath or anything 😀

It's just as well I did not hold my breath waiting for wednsaday 8th february. the last we heard from EE was on 15th Feb, when we were told the order had gone through, finally and we should hear beck from them in a week, or two, with a definite date for the fttp install at our house. Talk about dragging it out 😀

Ah well at least you have heard something, and they really should be updating you by the middle of next week - all will depend on how busy Openreach is in your area.
