I live in a new build apartment block in Sheffield. While all residents have full fibre connectivity our reception area is showing as not available on the availability checker and rltge residents would like it down there to feed a courtyard. This is a new building and the server room (CCTV and fire door systems) has incoming fibre but no EE/BT modem.
Is there a way of finding out what we have and if a fibre connection is possible. It would appear it has fibre incoming.

@P800AUL Showing as not available then that will be the case. Building Manager / Property owner is the way to go, not a public Forum.

Hi @P800AUL
Are all the flats on the same service, likely GLIDE but the building website or management agency will know and be responsible for service as @JimM11 says.
Thanks

No each apartment has a BT fibre modem. The management company has no clue ive seen the incoming fibre in the server room however no modem. To say theres no availability is wrong it four years old. We also have Virgin modems in each apartment maybe I ask them. I understand this is a public forum however there seems no sensible way of contacting openreach or bt.

@P800AUL , you have to contact EE and they will then contact Open Reach, you cannot contact Open Reach yourself, if you want to have EE broadband, they will be able to take a look for you..
You have just written that each apartment has BT fibre modem, so not sure what the problem is?

@P800AUL Why bother with OR go straight to Virgin Media then they will talk to you NO Problems at all!

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker > Address Checker estimate for the building address? You should find it in a drop-down after you enter just the postcode. Post the whole table, the text below it and the line above it, blanking out your address.

@Schockwave : The residents want Fibre available in the building's central reception area / hallway so as to serve a nearby courtyard. Of course, the landlord / building owner would need to order & pay for it.
