EE sales team came around our block of flats to let us know there will be fibre optic connection to our building soon as now theres is only normal broadband available. Could you be able to let us know when the fibre optic connection to our building will happen?

You would have to place an order and at this point an engineer would attend in order to install your service.

Depends on the age of the building. City fibre ran a cable into our building and then a connection to all the flats (above the door) daisy chain. From that into your flat. This was 2 years ago and BT won't offer any service until 2026.
Thanks

URGENT: You should remove your postal addy from this public site. You wanna be spammed?
In the meantime using random addys from that locality, no date is given yet for Full Fibre (FTTP) for your addys. You can only get standard ADSL BB:
SOADSL Products | Downstream Line Rate (Mbps) | Upstream Line Rate (Mbps) | Downstream Range(Mbps) | WBC SOADSL Availability |
---|---|---|---|---|
WBC SOADSL 2+ | Up to 8.0 | -- | 6.5 to 13.5 | Available |
SOADSL Max | Up to 5.5 | -- | 5.0 to 8.0 | Available |
SOADSL Fixed Rate | Up to 2 | -- | -- | Available |
but FTTP is not available.
Other addys, taken from the range 1 - 42 can get:
Featured Products | Downstream Line Rate(Mbps) | Upstream Line Rate (Mbps) | Downstream Range (Mbps) | Availability Date | FTTP Install Process |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
WBC FTTP | Up to 1000 | Up to 220 | -- | Available |

I'll admit I did slightly skim the post so missed where the OP enquired more about when the connection would be run to the building.
I took it as asking when their connection would be getting proactively upgraded by Openreach, which can happen, but it is usually much easier and faster to just place an order to prompt this sooner.
Normally with EE, Door to Door agents only go out when the area is FTTP ready and customers can place an order, and as part of this it would schedule the installation.
As a side note for anyone reading this later: There are very few EE-owned Field Sales teams, I believe most have been run by Money Expert so it wouldn't be surprising if they decided to go off-grid to a non-FTTP area for a few sales.

I been in touch with openreach for the past 2 years and it took so long to get all the signing offs from the housing association etc to get a survey done. My contact from open reach has confirmed that their build team are currently in talks to get fibre installed. The promotional guys came from EE/BT and confirmed that they have been specifically asked to come to our blocks to let us know about the upcoming fibre installations, but couldn't tell when. The maximum broadband speed we get at the moment is 6-8 mbps and our next door neighbour gets upto 1000 mpbs.

The team came from EE/BT as they were wearing the company's jacket and ID card.

@Lynnninan It sounds like you are already well ahead of anything that EE or anyone on here can tell you. And as I am sure you know, Openreach need Landlords permission and most also want detailed plans when dealing with Flats and HMO's.
All you can raelly do now is keep a regular check on the BTW DSL checker already linked as it will be the fist place to show when you can place an order. The ISP Order pages will follow shortly after.
This is not customer services, no one has access to account information, so no one can tell you when to place an order.
