Hi

Do EE still do this as when i try to search Broadband deals it just gives me Full Fibre broadband deals. I only do basic online stuff so don't really need Full fibre & FTTC is less hassle i guess.

Thanks

No  I'm at their home and mine equally but will be there more as they get  more reliant on me then I will be there full time and then will be my line

. It's difficult, I need to go now as I'm there now helping family with their disabilities.  It is confusing for sure

Hi there @gazmix_1973

Thanks for coming back to us.

I understand how stressful this will be for you to get exactly what you need when you will be at your family's home more.

I would suggest getting back in touch with our broadband guides when you want to make the changes, to see what would options would be available and they will run through everything with you.

Leanne.

I think I pretty much know all now.  Just that I have to do it before next January as copper wired BB ends then.

But does ADSL landline also end then or will they be able to carry on with landline for years to come retaining same number.Thanks.

I've seen videos that say you can so i guess just BB copper being replaced. Not being able to make a call in a power cut seems madness especially if elderly living in middle of nowhere without BB.

Ah good so they can keep same number and landline after next January along with FTTP. Good.

I've seen many vids on YouTube about FTTP installation but nothing about how it affects landline. . They need to keep old number.

Yes, it'll become a digital landline (DV) as long as you supply its no. when you order FTTP, as I told you 10 days ago in https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Broadband-Landline/Fiber-to-the-cabinet/m-p/1595769/highlight/true#M13...

Yep, got that.  Slight issue with phone downstairs and pc upstairs where router and dual socket are if have to plug phone in to router the phone cable would have to be about 8m long, then there's the extension.

Currently the main phone is plugged into the old copper line in the wall which is being phased out.. Think I got landline and digital voice mixed up, it would be digital not copper when installing FTTP..

You can get Analogue Telephone Adapters (ATAs) to plug into a mains socket anywhere.
