Hi
Do EE still do this as when i try to search Broadband deals it just gives me Full Fibre broadband deals. I only do basic online stuff so don't really need Full fibre & FTTC is less hassle i guess.
Thanks

so have to have 2 separate accounts, one for fibre & another for a home phone call plan. They just bought 2 landline phones for downstairs & upstairs, am thinking they couldn't be used.. Everyone that calls them, hospitals, pharmacy, everyone calls on the number they had years so they need that number to remain & as Jim says if that's what need then have to suck up the cost if need landline.

What are you talking about?
2 separate accounts? They can't be both from EE as EE doesn't do separate landline. They must be from 2 separate providers, e.g. BB from EE & landline from BT. You'll have a job separating your landline from your existing interconnected ADSL & giving it to BT.
Perhaps you really mean 2 separate contracts (with EE). The Home Phone Call Plan is an add-on to your BB

yes sorry 2 seperate contracts, one for fibre broadband & one for phone call plan, oh so to keep number & landline i'd go with BT & BB with EE. Or if can do 2 contracts with EE.. The cover on the adsl box says openreach so guess it's BT, the guy who came to check out a problem a while ago was openreach even though i contacted EE. Am worn out at mo it's all a stress. Thanks

OR is independent of EE & BT. It manages all the infrastructure on behalf of all ISPs & subcontracts to them to do so.
You're drifting way off. I'm not suggesting you get your landline to BT. All you want , & what this thread is all about, is for your family member, who is the owner of the contract, to upgrade their ADSL BB to FTTP with EE & keep its landline as DV. You can't do it for them.

yes ok, so they can keep their landline until after January 2027 as that is date i can't use copper. for BB yeh.... Thanks & Night.

They could keep their ADSL BB until that date & the landline is intertwined with that. Then you'll have to put off your wish for FTTP until then.

No i want to get it sorted in next few months.. FTTP & keep landline & current number for long time in future. Either with BT or EE.

Then why introduce Jan. '27? You are still in the same position. Your family would need to upgrade their BB in next few months.
Have you considered getting your own separate BB line to your property? Is it a house or flat? House should be possible.

that is when copper/adsl broadband ends. Jan 2027
I don't need it where i am.
I will be at family's a lot more soon so want fibre there before copper ends as then there will be nothing unless it gets done before then.
They hope they can keep landline & same number after Jan 2027.

They will if they upgrade to FTTP before then.
OIC! you're just a visitor there. You started off by making out it was your own line just to confuse us.
