I've had a letter with regard to an engineer visit. EE said if this is expected, I don't need to do anything. If they don't hear from me, EE will assume I want to go ahead with the transfer and no longer want EE broadband and landline?? I don't want landline as previously discussed with EE, but I still want broadband also previously discussed with them. The letter seems to contradicts itself.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Skint : You can just cancel the landline & leave the EE BB alone. The landline is on a monthly contract. You don't need an eng. visit to do this. Even if you were leaving EE it wouldn't be EE who would be sending an eng.
I should phone CS & make it clear that's what you want.

I spent 20 minutes on the phone last week with regard to renewing my contract to high fibre but also cancelling my landline. This is why the engineer is coming out on Thurs to install high fibre. Everything was sorted but it's the letter I've received this morning saying if EE don't hear from me, I don't have to do anything. Then it says they will assume I no longer want broadband or the landline. It doesn't make sense unless someone has typed it up incorrectly.

Yes, you will need an eng. visit to install Full Fibre when you don't already have it, but that wouldn't be cancelling EE BB.
What is the exact wording of this letter, obscuring your personal details?

I've already put what was in the letter. I've had to phone them up and found out it was a mistake. Thank you.

Hi there @Skint
Thanks for coming to the community and for getting in touch to get the letter looked into and make sure the broadband was staying active, with just the landline being cancelled.
