WE'RE SORRY TO SEE YOU GO

Hello Neil,

Virgin Media, have notified us that your Fibre Plus Broadband without landline will automatically move to them on 16 Sep 2024. If you'd like to cancel the move, you'll need to contact them and cancel your order.

  • Username: ne
  • Account number: 44

You can find out more about switching your provider by logging in to Your Account or visiting our website.

If something isn't right and you would like to speak to someone about your account, please call us on 0330 123 1105 from a landline or mobile.

You're currently out of contract and no early termination charges are applicable.

Your broadband service

Moving your broadband service means our support team will no longer be able to help if something goes wrong with your connection.

EE mobile Data Boost

If you have an EE pay monthly mobile plan or a 12-month SIM only plan, you'll no longer be eligible for a data boost when your broadband service moves.

When you leave EE

We'll send a final bill with the amount you need to pay. It'll include charges for the services you've got with us up to and including 16 Sep 2024. If your bill is due before your service stops, you might still get it. If that happens, we'll refund any charges that don't apply anymore, and show the refund on your final bill.

Your cancellation bill will include:

  • The charge to cancel your services, if applicable.
  • A final charge to cover your services for the period between your previous bill and the transfer date, if applicable.
  • Any applicable charges for phone usage in the period between your previous bill and the transfer date.

We'll use the details stored on your account to take the payment. If you've been paying by Direct Debit or Monthly Payment Plan, please don't cancel it until we've taken the final payment. We'll take care of it once all your charges have been paid.

If you need to return your kit

If you return your router to us, we'll take any working parts from it and see if they can be reused. We'll dispose of the rest of it in an environmentally friendly way. Alternatively you can use a local recycling centre. Our information page has more information on how to safely dispose of your old router.

What if things go wrong?

If you believe this message has been sent in error, please call us on 0330 123 1105.

If you switch to another provider, they'll be responsible for handling your switch. It's our responsibility to make sure we provide accurate information. If we provide inaccurate information during the switching process, you may be entitled to compensation. Please call us on 0330 123 1105 if you need to contact us in relation to compensation you believe you're entitled to.

Any questions?

We've got a team of EE guides to answer any questions you have about leaving. Call us for free on 0330 123 1105 from a landline or mobile, between 8am-8pm Monday-Friday or 9am-7pm on Saturdays and 9am-6pm on Sundays.

We'd like to thank you for using EE and we're really sorry to lose you.

Best wishes,
Customer Support

@440487   Virgin media have their own lines they don’t use the same line to your home as EE/BT so they don’t take it over,  You need to terminate this yourself by calling customer support and giving notice.

Only if you are changing to a different ISP that uses the same line as EE/BT or others you  don’t need to do anything.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@440487 It was your intention to move the BB to VM, is that correct? If so then EE will have shutdown your account to produce your final bill, give refund if that is due, or take more if that is the case, 16 sept, your kind of late to the party now.

@Chris_B @XRaySpeX VM are now part of the OTS but who knows how its all going to work, plenty pitfalls along the way!

Yes, @JimM11 , I had already asked OP that & he contacted them but they claimed not to know him from Adam.

Therefore must be another user giving VM his wrong addy. Surely there must be some way of OP telling VM that he lives there but never asked to move to VM.

That's how I read it too, sounds like he's already switched to VM but still being charged by EE.
