Good day everyone, I'm looking for some help as I'm completely at my wits end. I've read all the threads relating to cancelling broadband on the forum but none of the answers are of any use.
I ordered EE Broadband on the 18th of this month, I received a text message on the 19th saying that there was a problem and that there needs to be a visit from an OpenReach engineer at some point next month.
The supposed "issue" is that, my ONT box wasn't powered on as i wasn't using BT/EE etc. for my broadband, so when they conducted the line test, they were unable to contact and write to the ONT box.
Now, I received my equipment last night, got it all set up etc and called EE CS. They asked me to call back today and explain the situation and to ask the EE CS Rep to contact OpenReach to conduct the line test once more and then to cancel the engineer, mark the order as complete and an engineer wasn't needed, then activate the service.
However, the EE CS rep today was completely and utterly useless, had no idea what I was talking about, called OpenReach and then returned to my call saying an Engineer needs to come out because the ONT box was unreachable and the line test failed the first time... Which is exactly what I told him and what I already know. I tried explaining things again to the EE CS Rep and he was adamant that he understood and that OpenReach need to send out an engineer.
Anyway, the point is, they don't, the ONT box is now powered up and active yet I'm still having to wait until the 8th of next month or something along those lines for the Engineer to come out and tell me nothings wrong.
I want my broadband cancelled, however every option I press in the Broadband list on the phone, I'm waiting 20 - 30 minutes to be told by someone they can't help as theirs no option to cancel.
HELP. (Please and thank you).
Don't go through the usual spiel, Dial 150, press 3, press 1, press 2, etc. Doesn't work.

@Shauny1991 try 0800 079 8586 but it is press 2 then 3.
Or 0800 079 0544 may also be worth trying which seems to be a combined BT/EE number now.

You have a right to cancel your BB order anytime up to installation, but you must cancel by phone or letter.
