As I said, EE WiFi is the worst internet connection I’ve ever experienced. Was with BT for 2 years and it worked flawlessly, never had a problem with it, then came the EE-BT merger. About a month or two ago my contract ended and I switched to EE with the same package, the speed is fine but the router never works, everything buffers
EVERYTHING
this especially **bleep**es me off as I game, and never experienced this with BT but here I can’t even watch an Instagram reel without it buffering ever 2 seconds for atleast 10-15 seconds after which my phone disconnects to the wifi saying WiFi isn’t connected to the internet, then it comes back up for another 2 seconds.
I’ve tried every troubleshooting step I could, nothing fixes it
the distance from the router is NOT a factor neither is anything else I can think of as its the same connection, same location, same devices, just a different router (Smart Hub +).
called EE support, said to “restart”
safe to say I will NOT be recommending anyone close to me to switch to EE, if not recommending against it
I hope there was a way to back out of the contract…

@FaranAhmad Just put you BT Smarthub2 back on the connection if that is what you had with BT before the swap over, that hub works the same on the connection!

@FaranAhmad You need to take it up with EE CS, the EE Smarthub+ is just not the same as a BT Smarthub2, operation is different!

@FaranAhmad That is the way to do it, in the meantime you want to take a look at the compatible wi-fi network feature on your newly supplied EE Smarthub+ Router!
Set up and use Compatible WiFi | Broadband Help | EE
