My Toshiba satellite laptop doesn't connect to my home broadband but all other devices are working. Why?

Hi @Briandavey
It is likely your WiFi card is old. There should be an option under your router settings for connecting older devices, try activating this and connecting.
If that works it might be worth getting a WiFi 6 dongle or if you can easily change a new WiFi card for your laptop.
Thanks

Eventually sorted by getting a WiFi extender

@Briandavey Did you get any EE extender or a third party one that works with the Router?

Not ee but can't remember what make

@Briandavey Thanks for replying anyway, did not think it would be an EE one, as you may have run into the same issue with the laptop not able to establish itself via an EE Extender.

Is there a possibility the Wi-Fi card is only 802.11b (Wi-Fi 1)?
If so, I don't think the EE Smart Hub will work with it out of the box. You would have to navigate to the Advanced Wi-Fi settings at http://192.168.1.254 and enable the 'Compatible WiFi' option. This would give you a second Wi-Fi networki name that hopefully the laptop can see and connect to.
