EE TV pro box poor wifi

I am unable to connect my TV box using WiFi. It says poor signal. Everything else in the room is fine including the TV which sets next to it. It's only about 6m from the router with no wall in between.

This is my second box and both behave the same.

@Col996s Try getting EE CS to send an Engineer to you when you report it to them. If you can set only the 2.4Ghz wifi band for use! Also from this manual below, A: Connecting by WiFi?
The range of the TV Box can vary
significantly depending on location,
obstructions and interference.
Place your TV Box no more than one
wall, ceiling or floor away from your
Hub or Smart WiFi device and limit the
amount of electrical equipment and
other WiFi devices close to your TV Box.
For optimum WiFi performance the TV
Box should be set up within 5 metres line
of sight of your hub or Smart WiFi

When I had 2.4GHz only the box would not even see the route. I had to set a 5Ghz channel for the box to see it.

I have other devices that will only work on 2.4 so I had to set up both.

I have spoken to EE and they weren't interested other then sending me a pair of Tplinks which I am using.

@Col996s So are they working fine, Ethernet over Powerline?

Generally they work ok. Today the Sky sports and TNT sports channels were unwatchable. Stuttering like I have never seen before. A power cycle of the router, power line adapters and the TV box seemed to sort it for now.

@Col996s Best to do only one item at a time when you have the issue, you may be able to pinpoint it better to which is the one with the problem.

I did. Resetting each one at a time did not work.

@Col996s Try reversing the order next time and see how that goes.
