Anyone else facing this issue?

I set my 2.4 GHz to a fixed channel 6 and saved. The setting doesn't hold and changes to channel 11. I have factory reset the router and the firmware is up to date.

Firmware version:

r2.64.2-R-1210501-PROD-1
App version: 2.34.2

Yes, separate SSID. It's not isolated though. Some detail here.

@Huggons1 So what is currently on channel 6 that the router appears to be trying hard to avoid?

The Netspot app you downloaded will show you the 2.4Ghz band and what the profile is like, channels connected and used.

Snapped my network for you to look at, channel 11 is naughty neighbour using a 40 wide TP-Link device, but he is not clashing so do not have to rag on him.

It appears to me that this is a bug. There could be nothing else on channel 6, or 1000 devices, but why would this matter when fixing a channel of 1, 6 or 11. The option to fix one of these channels and not use smart WiFi is there, so I would have expected it to work.

No matter what fixed channel is selected, the router moves it. It seems to me that this is not working as designed and a bug.

EE technical support also connected to the router and confirmed that this was not how the hub should behave and must be a hardware issue. Obviously now hub swapped out, we can rule out a hardware issue.

@Huggons1 Why all the pictures, and why is your network jumping about so much if the pictures are anything too go by?

All of these pictures show my network on channel 11. Added extra ones to show other networks that appear too

But they illustrate nowt about it jumping away from Channel 6, which is the issue.

Just to clarify, no matter which "fixed" channel is assigned (1, 6, or 11) the hub will disregard and move it to another.

Both EE tech support and their engineer, they sent out have witnessed this.

It appears that the bug was not present in Firmware version r2.49.5-R-1094775-PROD-1
