EE Smart Hub Pro router issue

Anyone else facing this issue?

I set my 2.4 GHz to a fixed channel 6 and saved. The setting doesn't hold and changes to channel 11. I have factory reset the router and the firmware is up to date.

Firmware version:

r2.64.2-R-1210501-PROD-1
App version: 2.34.2

Anyone else had a try on setting a fixed channel of either 1, 6 or 11 and then watch the saved settings being disregard/changed to a different channel?

Cheers

@Huggons1 Are you still on the Pro router. EE Smarthub+ is reasonable at holding the channel once you come of Auto on the 2.4Ghz, but it can jump back with a FW update, then you just have to head back an change it again.

@Huggons1 Hopefully one of your Pro router enthusiast's jump in and see what's going on for you. Are you having issue's with the channel not playing nice with other devices?

Yes, would be nice that someone else using the smart hub pro can confirm the bug.

Would be nice that the smart hub pro device works as designed, as it gives you an option to set a fixed channel of 1, 6, 11, so reasonable expectation for it to work.

I am using a ZigBee device on channel 25 and want to be able to set a fixed channel of my choosing. Would be nice that this is recorded as a bug and fixed in a future firmware update.

It seems to me that EE have little appetite to recognise a bug and have it passed over to the relevant team to be addressed. All they will suggest is a replacement, if still an issue after a factory reset, despite providing that this has not and will not resolve a bug in their firmware.

Was hoping that now EE reportedly have in house firmware coding, that they could get to grasp with such issues.

Yes, I see this too. Although, I've no need to fix the 2.4GHz channel as I'd be fighting a losing battle in my environment. Despite all the competing signals, my 2.4GHz devices seem happy enough with the hub left to do its thing.

@Huggons1 Where are you getting channel 25 from or just a typo?

Channel 25 is what my Zigbee device is set to.

I like to set my EE router to channel 1 or 6, to keep it away from Zigbee channel 25

Thank you for confirming that you can see that this is a bug on your EE smart hub pro router too.

Please can you let me know if you are also on...

The fixed channel bug still hasn't been resolved in the r2.64.5-R-1298597-PROD-1 update
