EE Smart Hub Pro - DDNS broken after latest firmware update?

Configured DDNS when i initially setup the new Smart Hub Pro and it was working fine, updated overnight to firmware version r2.64.3-R-1213091-PROD-1 and now DDNS sits at connecting constantly and doesnt update. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Reset of router has made no difference.DDNS.jpg

@mikefairgrieve   there have been quite a few reports on the lack of DDNS on EE's latest routers.

You must have got a very early firmware version if you managed to do anything with DDNS.

@Mustrum The Pro router has it configured as standard and it's still available to setup in the latest firmware it just fails to update. The previous router SH+ is recieving an updated firmware adding DDNS back in as per post on this community which is good news, it just looks like they broke it in the Pro router with the latest firmware.

Sorry @mikefairgrieve  probably me getting routers mixed up.

From my own point of view, and I don't have too many requirements from a router, but I have found BT Group routers to have limitations, and have preferred using my own.

@mikefairgrieve Have you tried just turning off the DDNS service, then resetting the profile parameters back into the router just incase it got screwed up with the FW upgrade. Not many of the +Routers are having the new FW pushed out by EE and would be a silly thing for them too do over this period. Quick check on my + now heading to day 53 no changes and long may it continue before they possibly mess it up with a FW push.

@mikefairgrieve and @robomotic - ignoring the status display, is the feature definitely not working?

What DDNS providers are you using? I've noticed something similar in the past with NoIP, but when I checked the NoIP Control Panel, it seemed that the hostname was actually being updated.

Yeah it's NoIP that I use and last update was the day before the firmware upgrade, since then nothing on the NoIP panel online.

Tried that yeah, done a full factory reset of the router just incase and as soon as I enter the DDNS details and save it , it says it's successful however the status just shows "Connecting" constantly with no updates on the NoIP online panel.

@mikefairgrieve - just checked and mine is also stuck on 'Connecting'. Last update was around 4.30pm yesterday when I rebooted my hub. Not sure what update interval we should expect, but if updates get through following reboot or Internet loss/restoration then maybe that suffices (it's the only time that your IP address would change)?
