Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows when the Smart Hub Pro will release.
ive seen on some websites about the 17th of September, but is this true?
I want it if im going to upgrade to the gigabit package, as most of my devices support wifi 7 or the 6ghz band in general.

Definitely will keep it all updated

@Ryan01 So does wi-fi 5 operating in the wi-fi 6 AX, 5Ghz band that the + supports, do not want you to think that only what you have gets it up there. This is the link speed for my wifi 5 laptop to the EE Smarthub+ 1733/1733 (Mbps.

@Ryan01 the issue for 1.6Gb customers is that they are restricted to 1Gb on the ethernet ports, but can acheive 1.4Gb on WiFi as the Hub+ has WiFi6.
Not sure what service you are on or what router you have, but if not on 1.6Gb I am unsure what you are hoping to improve? But do speak to EE, and not just renew online otherwise I fear you may be disappointed.

No, it doesn't! WiFi-5 is only 802.11ac.

@XRaySpeX Are you trying to tell that wi-fi 5 is not capable of supporting 160 wide band frequency?

@JimM11 : No. All I'm saying is that WiFi-5 is not 802.11ax but 802.11ac.

@XRaySpeX Ok, got it see where you are coming from regarding that!

All my devices are wifi 6e and soon to be wifi 7 supported so id see the benefit from it due to the smart hub plus not having the 6ghz band

I always call to get the best deals possible, and I’ve heard that the smart hub pro is going to have 2.5 gb wan / Ethernet ports.
and I want to improve the latency / reliability and speed when I upgrade to the faster speeds soon

@Ryan01 On your very first part on your post, you said you were going to the Gigabit package, to get the higher network speed then everything has to be upped, NIC on device, NIC on Router, NIC on Wan, ONT upgrade, and also if any switches etc are used. Hardware is only part of the battle, you have the wireless side pretty well covered it would appear. Then also is the 1.6Gb/s package speed available from OR at your location, do not remember if you said currently what your package is. Gigabit is currently supported with the hardware at present, and future proof is wi-fi7 without a doubt.
