Sometimes older or weaker devices may not be compatible with the default WiFi settings of EE Smart Hubs. Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings > Config > Compatible WiFi (it defaults to 2.4 GHz only & WPA2) & connect your problematic 2.4 GHz devices to that.

yeah, I have already set up Compatible WiFi yesterday and enabled 5 GHz as according to Sony it needs to be connected to a 5 GHz but no difference than using the main Wi-Fi it’s only when I use my EE Home Wi-Fi I can hotspot and it works perfectly fine on my iPhone 17 pro Max I have spoke to EE the nice lady I was speaking to. I was on the phone for over an hour and she says that I need to port forward it but she wasn’t sure how to do that.

Doubt it!

Hi @Maverick78.

It might be worth checking whether 5 GHz is enabled on your PS5, just to make sure it's using the recommended connection.

If you want to try port forwarding based on the advice you received on your call, we have a guide here: Port Forwarding: Access to your home network
