EE SMART HUB 2 change to third party due to upload lag

Can someone to the love of god help me?

 

I have been moved from bt to ee and the upload lag ping for gaming is like 3k jitter.

 

i am wanting to try fix this by getting new third party hub but unsurprisingly ee hub isn’t great to do this and will get double Nat? 
Can anyone help

Hi @Brownc1 

What speed is your ethernet cable to your PS5 from your router. This is important as if it's old then this maybe your issue. Also check the port speed in your router ( @JimM11 @XRaySpeX can you do this on the OP router and if there is any sleep power saver options? )

Is it an older disk PS5 or PRO.

Can you run the speed test on your PS5 settings and post the outcome with the Nat Type -  Settings - Network - Test Internet Connection.

If you are using WiFi on your PS5 then under the PS5 settings - settings up internet connection on your WiFi  - option -  WiFi frequency band change this from automatic to 5 Ghz only or 6Ghz only if a newer version. 

See if this helps before spending your money.

It's gonna be a lottery whether changing the router is gonna change things to the better. It could be money down the drain. Better to investigate the issue with what you've got.

@Northerner With the EE Smarthub (2023) runs the same FW as the BT smarthub2, yes you can see the sync speed up/down on the Advanced Technical log, but the OP is not far away on his 80/20 fttc connection so would say his Router is there abouts correct, with an upload delay issue. 

I’ve replaced the Ethernet cable. 
Not sure what you mean by checking the port in the router? It’s not damaged and the hub is new. 

I have a ps5 with the disk and it’s already set to automatic. 

Ok but I’m struggling to work out what more I can physically do? 
My only issue is the upload ping and clearly from my tests you can see it’s unstable.
