I’m looking to sign up for the 1.6Gb service but wanted to ask when the newly announced WiFi 7 Router will become available?

@CeramicKnight Officially 17th Sept 2024, but who knows, as also quoted towards end of OCT before EE are in full swing.
NO TV or DV landline, if you need any of those, forget getting it at present!

@Colesey That's correct, EE are working on it, but currently you cannot get if you need either of those services.

@Colesey Has been reported by others trying to get or upgrade to the 1.6Gb/s packages, and because EE system is blocking the request's any they also reported EE are working on it, so anytime it could/can change. DV is definate just now, EE tv may be possible, think its down to how service is delivered, but may also be package. You could try to order if going that way, and post back if successful.

Ah ok that would be perfect, I’ll keep an eye out for then.
I don’t need TV or a Landline anyway and haven’t done for many years so that won’t affect me !

@CeramicKnight Just remember anything up to 14day's+ for any switching of accounts, and the current restrictions that apply, and assuming that those who are interested on the latest High Speed packages, have all checked that it is available to them, and that OR are not limiting to 1000mb/s download, via the BTW wholesale. Upgrades may be quicker or refused by EE depending on current account's that user's have.

Yeah I don’t currently have OpenReach internet so I should be able to install straight away as soon as the router can be sent out.
It does say the 1.6Gb is available too, I’ve doubled with EE and they say it’s live.
The only problem I’m getting is it won’t let me log into my EE account (I have 4 sims atm with EE) and purchase as it brings up an error “oops, something went wrong” but it gives a Sales Number to call.
I believe there are additional perks of having EE Broadband with EE Sim’s.

- I want to cancel in Broadband & Landline
- EE 5G Smart Hub, insanely poor jitter and not fit for gaming in Gaming
- Broadband order cancelled but still received router in Broadband & Landline
- Homebrew Smart Hub Pro upgrades from Smart Hub Plus - will it work? in Broadband & Landline
- Mobile broadband 4G in Mobile Broadband
