I gave my 8 year old son my wifes old phone but with a brand new EE sim and a new number. He has no credit on the phone and only has a number so he can use WhatsApp to call and message us.
The EE Broadband for the house is set up in my name and my phone number. Recently he has been receiving messages from "EE", the texts do not have any links or ask for any information. The texts he is receiving are the EE Broadband texts saying the broadband will be live in a few days, the router has been sent out and the broadband is now live etc.
He has nothing linked to his number and only had the £5 credit that was used to set up the number months ago which he now has £0.00 and can't ring anyone. He is able to text us and his friends without him having credit and his phone/number was factory reset and not linked to either of our accounts. He has no account and can't make any calls.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hello @Bato182 ,
Welcome to the community,
Unfortunately this is not customer service but a public forum with no account access and we do not know who you are.
I would suggest speaking to customer service to get this sorted. You could also go in the EE App and click on Manage and then Mobile and Sim and click on his number and make sure that parental control is set to strict, although as pay as you go, you would have to speak to customer service to make sure that it is set to strict if not already done so. Also make sure that his is not the primary number, that should hopefully rectify things. You should scroll down to settings and permission and change Data and Marketing settings, click on it.

Hi @Bato182
Could you please give me more information on what you're looking to delete?
I think the best option would be calling our customer service team, explaining that your son's number is receiving unwanted calls and texts, and the team can look into stopping any marketing texts. If needed, they can also look to change the number completely.
