I have recently signed up to EE Broadband. My broadband is working fine, however the APP WiFi controls feature and the Wifi enhancer are not available on the app or via the website. An error message appears and states it is a problem with EE. I have spoken with the technical team at EE on two occasions and they have recommended i reinstall the APP and restart the router. I have now done this many times and the APP features are still not working. This is very very VERY frustrating! I am going in circles with the EE technical team and it is not clear how or if this will be resolved. EE is not living up to expectations. If there is an issue, i would prefer EE acknowledge the fault and advise when it will be fixed rather than directing me to do the same thing over and over again (i.e reinstall the app). Can anybody help? Is this new feature just a myth?

Just an update re my issue.
I spoke to a guide in Cardiff earlier and he was the most helpful person so far. He confirmed that the EE app will not pair with a BT smarthub 2. He was aware of this problem as it had been raised previously. Wifi settings still available in MyBT app. He also said that the BT hub is a better product.
I'm just going to continue using the MyBT app.
There is certainly a lack of information and knowledge within the EE staff.

@Melbury To clear up any confusion, are you saying that Using the BT Smarthub2 router on the EE service after change over, continue to use the MyBT app, and you will have FULL functionality like you had before?

@JimM11 . Yes, Mybt app fully working as before. The only annoying thing is that it doesn't keep me logged in and I have to sign in with old BT details.

Still no access to wifi controls rebooted, installed app on other device.
Still getting this message, and have been entered details manually. It still only picks up my old BT wifi details:

I am trying to use parental control to stop wifi as it is 22:59 and my 10 years old son is not coming to sleep and this is happening every night thanks to EE. I cannot have access to parental control on their app.
they dont have access to parental control on their website as BT used to have .
Very bad services.

I have contacted but it seems that your technical team does not know how to resolve this problem.
guys, my son is sitting in front tv non stop because there is no parental control. It is 23:15 and he is still in front of tv because your parental control is not working to stop wifi.
totally disappointed with EE.
I wish i never moved to EE and stayed with BT or moved to another provider.

I'm sorry to hear you've not been able to get this up and running yet @Ega
Just in case our team didn't go through this with you, I'd recommend checking to make sure your phone and the EE app are both fully up to date.
Have you tried forgetting your WiFi connection and reconnecting this too?

I did send another complaint to EE on Friday morning. I got a response yesterday from the complaints team.
Basically the EE guy told me it was unacceptable that my issue had been going on for so long adn was going to go away and ask when a fix/resolution is going to be forthcoming and then get back to me by Friday.
He had muted that one option he might put to me was that I could have my contract terms negated so I could leave EE and find another provider withour penalty. And that I could even go back to BT!!
I'll wait to see what he actually comes back with.

Please try to listen and read the thread! This issue has nothing to do with the apps being up to date or the Wi-Fi connection!
you are wasting everyone’s time with your comments.
if you want to truly help, read all the comments, go speak to senior management and tell them to take this issue seriously and get the app fixed.
the clients should not have to go through this issue for months while paying for a terrible service.
don’t give useless feedback and tips when we all know it won’t work, your like the IT guy who says restart your pc when ever there is an issue!
