EE App - Broadband - Smart Hub Unknown Devices

Hi All

Have a question regarding my EE Smart Hub,

Looking at my EE app and Managing my Broadband Smart Hub Plus,

It keeps showing "Unknown Devices" appearing on my Network. If I delete them they will appear again overnight.

Currently it's adding 2 or 3 per night. All are offline when I login in the morning. They don't show any info apart from an ip address and a Mac address.

I've tried calling EE but no help so far

I never see these devices online, they are always offline for like 7 hours etc.. So not sure what else i can check

You said in your OP that they were offline in the morning, implying they were online when you saw them overnight & also that they had IPs. That I would interpret as being online.

I'm asking you to look in the router at the time you see them in the app so we can see what the router thinks about them.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Just logged in to my router and they don't appear.. Looked into the devices offline and they don't appear. So maybe it's just the app having issues

Thought you said it only happens overnight. Are any showing in the app now?

They show in the app now as offline. If I login to my hub via a webpage (ip address) and look they don't appear in either the online of offline tabs

@James1980X The web interface shows not a lot information wise, the app does show a lot more that's for sure, and if your devices are using randomized mac's you may just never be able to pin it down. Note the IP's and the Mac's when you see the unknown in the app display, and all you can do is try to find if/when they reappear in the future. I have checked, noted the ones on my app, but did only have the two of them, will let you know if/when they ever decide to come back, just had quick look at app but they are still gone currently. If you are prepared to not use the randomized mac's may help you, just never know.
