Devices not linking on app/account

I recently subscribed to BT/EE broadband and everything was fine until I downloaded the app so I could supposedly view all of my accounts in one place (I also have my mobile with EE). Unfortunately, I was not able to link my new broadband service to my account, either through using the app or via my account on a laptop, despite using the same email I used to sign up in the first place. I also couldn't link my mobile account (this was apparently more complex as I'd used a different email to set this up many years ago, even though I was then told recently by an EE customer service agent that they'd migrate the account over within 72 hrs and everything would be fine - it wasn't)! I was going to leave a review on Google Play Store about these issues but realised I'd already written one many years ago when I first set-up my EE mobile account. It seems the app wasn't playing ball back then either. So my questions are: 1) how do I link everything so I can actually view my mobile/broadband accounts via one login in both the app or online, and 2) why do EE keep pushing everyone to download the app when it clearly doesn't work and causes so much frustration with so many customers?
