Hello!
I have recently moved to EE broadband and it has been mostly working pretty well. I have had an issue with it for a while where the connection would drop for a minute/two sometime in the hour of 12am every single day. It has also changed with the clocks so it has stayed at the hour of 12am.
It's incredibly frustrating to be doing something and being disconnected from everything. Playing online gets hit the hardest as you can imagine. The connection drops for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
The logs in the admin panel of the router don't show anything for this at all. This wasn't a problem when I was using Sky.
There are no other issues. Speed is fantastic, the other 23 hours of the day works perfectly.
I am on the 1700mbps package using the Wi-Fi 7 Smart Hub Pro.

@pcoventry8 Boy do you have it all wrong, your first posting described your issue, and with doing the pppoe direct testing you proved straight away issue was not router orientated, and as you said with all your ISP experience.

The only flint 2 that I can find on amazon (gl Mt 6000)is just like that tp link but more expensive, priced at£ 135 and it has only a 2.5g and 4 1g ports. Would you happen to have the full name / model for a 4 2.5g model? There's a tp link that I was considering and it costs £200 on sale, has 4 2.5g ports and WiFi 7. Usually go for £300 but I think they are about to bring a newer model to the market.

@Nonamesleft They have already brought the new model and obsoleted the one, look very carefully at it.

I'm not sure why you keep posting in this thread. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Nor your posts are of any kind of help whatsoever to anyone. You're just clogging the thread with absolutely useless noise. TPlink has not released a new model for the router that I am looking at. Feel free to provide a link where I can purchase it if you can find it but I know you will not.

Welp. I don't know what BT did to their smart hub 2 but firmware v0.44.00.04123-BT has made the Wi-Fi completly unstable.
Back to the EE Smart Hub Pro I go 🤣

@Profile closed If you get some time could you post what you where seeing effects wise with BT Smarthub2 on that latest FW update, got another posting using same and the router and FW version misbehaving badly at present, the OP has also been sent the 2023 version of the EE which was worse it seems, but we don't know as yet what version that's on.
How easy that FW can kill a good functioning router. Thanks for any reply.👍

Plugged in new Hub Pro yesterday, updated from OG r2.49.5-R-1094775-PROD-1 to r2.64.6-R-1303886-PROD-1 in about 30 minutes, then updated again to r2.64.7-R-1303938-PROD-1 around 3am.
@JimM11 While doing a speed test for example on phone the speed test app would just fail to connect to any server, like the connection to the router dropped out. Other things like Instagram feed would just stop updating to new content when scrolling. They messed it up.

@Profile closed Did you ever see the router hang, and led status change from blue to anything else, getting a few weird posting's appearing, and closer look, all BT/EE routers Smarthub2 (2023) with that FW version. Good at least your Pro swap back has got you going!

Well there seems ot be an issue with the DNS server, some websites won't open at all (I have tried a different browser) all give error code DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
