Hello!
I have recently moved to EE broadband and it has been mostly working pretty well. I have had an issue with it for a while where the connection would drop for a minute/two sometime in the hour of 12am every single day. It has also changed with the clocks so it has stayed at the hour of 12am.
It's incredibly frustrating to be doing something and being disconnected from everything. Playing online gets hit the hardest as you can imagine. The connection drops for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
The logs in the admin panel of the router don't show anything for this at all. This wasn't a problem when I was using Sky.
There are no other issues. Speed is fantastic, the other 23 hours of the day works perfectly.
I am on the 1700mbps package using the Wi-Fi 7 Smart Hub Pro.

They have definitely fixed something although others are still complaining of drop-outs but we have gone 3+ days now with no downtime for the first time in quite a while

@bigsteve47 Thanks for posting up your Status screen, that makes it official now latest FW on the Pro version of the EE Router you have, and page to keep an eye on for the stability of the router, Network Uptime: will be the reset and can happen for any external reason, those are the hard ones to pin down, the Technical Events log is worth a look at from time to time to see what is connecting, dropping off, depending on how busy your network is etc, mine runs at about a page off events per day but that is on the EE Smarthub+ and FW currently from way back.👍👌

That page never showed any downtime for me and also for the other users and I was still getting disconnected every single night. It stopped since I moved to a new router. So that screenshot does not really prove anything, I had a 40 something days uptime on mine before the FW update. I just set up the EE smart hub back on and I am going to monitor my network for the next 3 nights while I am away. Might send the new router back to amazon if I don't need it

@Nonamesleft You are correct, you did not have any "external" reset's. I thought that i had seen posted that the FW update did not resolve the midnight update issue, but it was a posting by yourself but on the earlier before the rapid FW update change. As you know the script and what is happening correct to retry again, and as you know the only current true fix is to swap out the router for none EE type.
FW updates may be fixes for something's never logged so completely unknown to what, and sometimes fixes break others so it has to all start again.

Before I left I had 3 weeks uptime - that never changed like you said. I was still getting drops even on my new router. It dropped twice in 15 mins - and an hour later I was migrated to Freeola. Still 1.6Gbps but I have been downloading for the last 48 hours a lot and had not 1 single drop out.
So the problem is 100% the EE network and I am sure it goes way beyond the router FW.

Was not the case for me. Right until I changed ISP's I had the drops on a new Asus RT-BE88U - which has not dropped once on he new service.

@pcoventry8 As your initial fault was nothing to do with the midnight sync issue, and pretty sure you never even reported that in any off the testing that you were carrying out then jumped onto that posting, you are correct that your line has an issue at the exchange end on the EE equipment, and your Asus router swap out really proved that point along with your direct pppoe and 1Gb/s nic connected testing.

When we had the resets at 3am that timer would reset on that page so it hasn't actually restarted at 3am in 4 days now. They have definitely fixed something but let's see what happens...

Still happening here with the EE smart HUB with the latest firmware (r2.64.7-R-1303938-PROD-1). Just seems to have shifted to 01:30 to 02:30 am now.
My PC got disconnected at 01:36:04, 01:44:13 , 02:04:28, and one last time at 02:11:13.
Will probably end up sending my new router back to amazon just because I think I want to buy a slightly better one, but for anyone interested this is the one that I got off amazon "TP-Link Archer BE230" for £90 as it is on sale right now, usually goess for £149.99.

Be careful! Jim is in a hurty words against EE defence mode today .
The g.flint2 would be a better upgrade at £129,99 - It's much more feature packed so there's your slightly better one and it's all 2.5Gbps ports.
