Connection Dropping Out At The Same Time Every Day

Hello!

I have recently moved to EE broadband and it has been mostly working pretty well. I have had an issue with it for a while where the connection would drop for a minute/two sometime in the hour of 12am every single day. It has also changed with the clocks so it has stayed at the hour of 12am.

It's incredibly frustrating to be doing something and being disconnected from everything. Playing online gets hit the hardest as you can imagine.  The connection drops for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet.

The logs in the admin panel of the router don't show anything for this at all. This wasn't a problem when I was using Sky.

There are no other issues. Speed is fantastic, the other 23 hours of the day works perfectly.

I am on the 1700mbps package using the Wi-Fi 7 Smart Hub Pro.

Hi @Rivermiller42

Welcome to our community.

Have you reported this to our tech team at all?

Lesley

Hi Lesley- not yet, no. It seems to be a known problem so I thought I would check here first to see if anyone knows. But we think it’s very obvious that the router is a factor. The issue only started when we installed the new SmartHub.

I'll pass on the feedback @Rivermiller42

But it is a good idea to check with our tech team to see if there's something they can do too as we don't want you to be disrupted by this.

More drop outs...9pm friday night 1am sat morning......disastrous. EE support are useless

I’m getting dropouts as well might only be for couple seconds , but it’s about 4-5 times a day mainly after 9 pm . I’m on 1.6 gb with the new WiFi 7 pro hub , it shows on technical log Ethernet port 0 down then up , I’m guessing Ethernet port 0 is the wlan port . Not sure if it’s the broadband line or the pro router , was going to buy a new router and hope that sorts it bit if it’s the line will probably be the same.

Hi @bigsteve47,

What have our team advised when you've reached out to them about this?
